The Gilmer County Adult Detention Center Division consists of 27 uniformed officers who provide security and inmate services.

The Adult Detention Center staff work twelve-hour rotating shifts.

The facility also includes a fully equipped kitchen where meals are prepared for the inmates. Inmates prepare the meals under the supervision of Jail staff. Supervised inmates handle all in-house building maintenance, laundry, cleaning, etc.

Visitation

Visitation in person is no longer available at the Detention Center. However, visitation is available online seven days a week. Simply go to jailatm.com and follow the instructions to set up your visitation account.
