The Patrol Division is committed to protecting life and property, preventing crime, enforcing traffic laws, and promptly responding to emergency (E911) and non-emergency calls for service. Deputies are assigned to one of four designated patrol zones, allowing for a strategic and community-focused deployment of resources across the county.

Each Watch Commander supervises daily operations, assigns personnel, and ensures that services such as crime prevention, traffic control, order maintenance, criminal investigations, and offender apprehensions are delivered effectively and professionally.

Despite Gilmer County’s rapid growth, the Patrol Division continues to set the standard for excellence among law enforcement agencies, consistently maintaining a high level of service that is second to none.
